We would further state that we do not consider

the proposed change would be in the interests of the Colony

and we may also mention that we would not be disposed to in-

vest Capital in real estate if the proposal put forward comes

into force, nor would we on behalf of the various Companies,

Insurance and others under our control, invest in mortgages on

properties having short leases.
